How do you know if water has been mixed in milk?

Milk is called the ideal drink. It is a rich source of high-quality protein. Milk contains all the essential amino acids. However, there are many instances of adulteration in milk. Especially, the issue of mixing water in milk is common. Along with this, things like starch are also mixed. The Food Safety and Standards Authority of India, the food regulator, has given a way to know how pure the milk you buy from the market is.
One way to test the purity of milk is the water adulteration test. For this test, drop a drop of milk on the surface of a clean, sloping container. If the milk is completely pure, it will slowly run down the container and leave a milk stain on the container. But if water has been added to the milk, it will run down quickly and leave no milk stain on the container.
You can also check whether starch has been added to milk using a home method. For this, first boil a few milliliters of milk. Then let it cool. After it cools, drop 2-3 drops of iodine solution on the milk. If the milk is pure, then the color of the milk will not change. If it does, then it may be slightly yellowish. But if starch has been added to the milk, then the color of the milk will change to blue.
