What are the uses of egg shells?

Egg shells work as an excellent fertilizer for plants. You can also use egg shells to clean dishes. Find out what you can do with egg shells without throwing them away. 

  1. Eggshells can provide calcium to plants. Dry and powder eggshells and sprinkle them at the base of the plants. You can also powder eggshells at the base of the plants to keep the plants in the garden free of insects.
  2. Clean the eggshell with lukewarm water and dry it in the sun. Crush the dried shell and make a powder. Mix a few drops of lemon juice, 1 teaspoon of honey and milk with the eggshell powder. Mix well with a spoon to make a paste. Clean the skin with a mild face wash and pat it dry with a cloth so that the skin is slightly damp. Now apply the face pack in a thin layer on the skin with the help of a brush. When it dries, scrub it off. The skin will be soft and bright.  
  3. Sometimes the kitchen sink gets clogged with dirt. To solve this problem, grind eggshells into a fine powder and pour it into the sink and turn on the faucet.
  4. Eggshells are also an expert at removing burnt stains from dishes. Mix eggshell powder with dishwasher detergent and wash the dishes! The burnt stains will be removed.
  5. You can use this face pack if your skin is clogged with dirt. Mix eggshell powder with lemon juice and honey. Apply the mixture on your skin and rub it in. After a while, wash it off with cold water.
  6. Mix eggshell powder with aloe vera gel. Apply the mixture on the skin. It will enhance the glow of the skin.
  7. You can reduce the yellowness of your teeth with the help of eggshells. Add a pinch of baking soda to 1 teaspoon of eggshell powder. Now mix coconut oil in it and make a paste. Use this paste on your teeth. The brightness of your teeth will return.
  8. Mix powdered eggshells into bird and chicken food to add calcium and minerals. 
  9. Bake clean eggshells at 350 degrees for 8 minutes. Once cool, grind into a fine powder. Add to juices, smoothies, etc. as a calcium supplement (one teaspoon).
  10. Fill half of the eggshell potting soil with compost and sow the seeds. When the plants emerge, plant them in the pot along with the shell.
