Many people suffer from insomnia.
Insufficient sleep can have an adverse effect on physical and mental health. Insomnia can make you feel tired all the time and lack energy for work throughout the day. You need to be aware of some things to get 7 to 8 hours of uninterrupted sleep at night. Avoiding certain tasks before going to bed will not disrupt your sleep.
1. Avoid screen use. Avoid using bright screens like phones, tablets, computers, or TVs within one to two hours of bedtime. The blue light from these devices disrupts sleep.
2. Don't drink tea or coffee before bed. If possible, avoid them after dusk.
3. Don't eat a heavy meal before bed. Eat a heavy meal at least 3 hours before bed.
4. Avoid stimulating activities just before bed. Keep the room quiet, read a book. Dim the lights.
5. Avoid exercising right before bed.
6. Don't do a lot of work or multitask before going to bed. This will make the brain excited and prevent you from falling asleep.
