7 precautions for using a gas stove

The kitchen is a busy place. Cooking in a hurry, preparing food, or cleaning dishes is a constant activity here. But you should not neglect some precautions. You should be especially aware of gas stoves. If it is not used and maintained properly, there is a risk of any major disaster. Find out what you should be careful about to stay safe.
- Food particles can clog the oil burner and this can cause gas leaks. So always keep the stove clean. After cooking, wipe the stove with a damp cloth. If the stain does not come off, clean it with soap.
- Do not place anything that could catch fire near the gas stove. Keep plastic bags, wooden spoons, towels, or medicine bottles away from the stove.
- Regularly check the burner, stove, cylinder regulator, gas pipes, etc. to ensure that everything is working properly. Quality pipes, regulators, and valves should be used in the cylinder.
- Do not go near the stove wearing loose clothing. Synthetic clothing like polyester should also not be worn near the stove.
- Open all the kitchen doors and windows at least half an hour before you start cooking. This will help release any gas that may have accumulated in the kitchen.
- Do not place the cylinder near fire. Place the cylinder in a well-ventilated area away from the stove.
